Happy 2008....I know it's a little late....

I've really gotten bad about updating the blog. I guess I just haven't had much to say lately. Things have been going along pretty normally so there hasn't been much to type about. C and J went back to school last Thursday and that seems to be going ok. C didn't put up too much of a fight. It's hard to believe we're in the 2nd half of his Kindergarten year. I also don't want to think about it, but contest season is just around the corner. C and I will be saying goodbye to our weekends with J in about another month.

As for the adoption were just waiting. In December J and I agreed to have our profile shown to an expectant mother in the Seattle area, but we weren't chosen. We found out about the opportunity on December 3 and the baby was due December 7, so once things happen it will probably be pretty fast. Since then our agency received one cold call, but we weren't a family that the birthmother was interested in. On Friday we agreed to have our profile shown to another expectant parent in a different state. That baby is due around the first part of February so we'll see what happens. The agency will contact the families to get their OK before showing the profiles to expectant parents who don't exactly fit all of the qualifications that the prospective parents were looking for (see this previous post)
J and I have decided that God knows what we need and He knows what our baby needs. We're going to have our profile shown and just trust Him. Who knows what 2008 has in store for us.....

I know that God has a wonderful baby waiting for you someday. You both have done such a wonderful job raising C so far. This weekend when he stayed with me and Pampa George he was a very good little boy. He is a joy to everyone that knows him. He made a big hit yesterday at Pampa's church and also while we ate. He sat by Bill's mom, Pearl. When we were all leaving, he even had to say, Bye Pearl, see you later. Thanks for he weekend. Love, Mom.
